a new toy...

just bought this little piece of equipment... canon f/2.8 70-200mm lens.

hopefully i'll get it in the mail by the end of the week, and i'll post some new photos when i get a chance to use it. 

    so i've received word that i need to update. not much to say really. school keeps me busier than ever just with classes and being the photo editor for our little newspaper, which we just put out of final issue of the semester of... feels good to be done. it's hard to believe that a week from yesterday i'll be a senior in college. the only thing that keeps me sane is taking pictures. every day i wonder if that's what i'm supposed to be doing?  who knows. i hate to travel down a path of another family memeber, but lord knows i'm not going to do anything with this degree.  i wonder what life would've been like if i had done it all over again, knowing what i know now.  i'd probably be at azusa, doing a degree in multimedia design emphasis on photography. but the funny thing about knowing that is that i also am incredibly thankful for ccu. some people think it's crazy that i go to a school with a little over a thousand students. but i may never have gotten the opportunities that i've gotten if it hadn't been for ccu's quaint environment. and yet so many regrets. would i be further in achieving these goals of a future in photography had i gone somewhere else?  too much thinking... i have finals to study for... but i think i'll leave you with some photos that i've been blessed to have the opportunity to have taken...these are sports, talent show, battle of the bands, newspaper stuff, etc. sorry... a lot are in black in white, which means they were one of two things. 1. shot for our paper but didn't make it in the paper or 2. were in the paper. but the good news is that next year we're hopefully we're doing half of our issue's in color. hoorah.

i have a dream... or well rather a goal.  i turned on Bravo today and tuned into the AFI's 100 Years of 100 Cheers (a list of the most influential/encouraging movies in the last 100 years), within 2 or 3 movies in i knew i'd be finding the complete list and watching the whole thing if I could.  so this is my goal.  i've seen about i dunno 1/4 of them already.  but the rest look so good and ones i've always wanted to see that this will be a new goal of mine.
